Welcome to the Sailor's Omen Blog: Sunchaser: A Chara Collection preview!

I'm excited to present a sneak peek of our upcoming line: the Chara Collection! Named after the Indian word for "mover", the Chara Collection is inspired by an eclectic history of travel, a fascination of nomadic life and a wanderlust for exotic cultures. In this lookbook collaboration between photographer Kelly Martucci, model Devon Storm, Gwen Berlin Boutique and Sailor's Omen, you'll see a glimmer of what I'll be releasing in the shop and in our retail locations over the next couple weeks.

The lookbook is named Sunchaser, because it was inspired by fall/winter tourism in the city of Saint Augustine. Living in a small seaside town primarily driven by the tourism industry, its easy to differentiate between locals and visitors during the changing of the seasons. Yes, its 80 degrees and to locals who have acclimated to become sensitive to the changing winds, its chilly. We wear long sleeves, pants, and yes, sometimes even hats. But to the rest of world, its a bright brilliant summer day. This lookbook chronicles bohemian babe Devon Storm during her autumnal travels through Saint Augustine, Florida.
