South Beach Life

A few months ago, Admyar Photography and I were fortunate enough to head down to Miami with the intention to do some location scouting, hire a model and do a shoot for some new pieces I had been working on.

Well, our model backed out the night before so despite my resistance to being in front of the camera, I conceded.  I had done some modeling on our very first lookbook with the talented model Morgan Malone and Ashley Steeby Photography.  It was a great experience with a lot of fun moments and great shots, but I preferred the styling aspect more, so for over a year I managed to stay away.  After working with Admyar Photography for a year, I saw her shooting style and being primarily a boudoir photographer, she has lots of experience with regular people who have little to no experience modeling feel comfortable and beautiful.  I knew I'd be in good hands.

We decided to do this shoot in South Beach, Miami.  I was surprised by the lack of people.  I was expecting hoards with lots of colorful umbrellas and lots of tiny teenie bikinis and banana hammocks.  Only one in sight!  It was a beautifully overcast day making it not too hot. although I really yearned for sunglasses.  We couldn't have had better conditions for a shoot.  I hope you enjoy this photos as much as we had taking them!

U.S. Part:12 Kyanite

      Stone Name: Kyanite

       Nickname: Attunement stone

       Birthstone Month:
Not associated with any birth months.

       Zodiac Association:
       Aries, Libra & Taurus

       Affected Chakra:
       Throat Chakra

History of Use:
Kyanite’s name originates from the Greek word “kyanos”, appropriate due to the fact that it means deep/strong blue. This mineral belongs to the pegamite family, a group of minerals recognized for being ‘sedimentary rocks’. This is a very highly versatile stone when it comes to practical application, being commonly employed in the construction of products made up of ceramics, dishware and porcelain. Beyond simple household items, this deep, navy mineral can also be used for high-tech applications in the form of electric insulators and abrasive material.

Spiritual Properties:
When it comes to the spiritual properties of Kyanite, this stone is one that is invaluable for creating a sense of wholeness and completion of the soul. Because of its unique wavelengths, people are prone to use this stone in order to foster a sense of connectedness between all of their various chakras. Kyanite also may align the aura!  Far more than only being useful for personal consolidation, this stone may also be used to promote a heightened capacity of connection and fidelity with others. With the power of Kyanite, people are far more generous and fair with one another than when their chakras and personal balances are completely out of whack.  This gemstone doesn't accumulate negative energies or vibrations (one of the few), so it doesn't need to be cleansed or cleared.

Physical Healing Properties:
The tangible healing properties of Kyanite are great. With a heightened capacity for connection and togetherness, there comes an increased ability to effectively communicate. Kyanite is also very valuble for its power to awaken lost memories, which can provide enlightenment in the ways to get back on track in life after one has lost their way. With a more wholesome sense of self, the environment is purified as well.
